I'm not sure what you mean by benefits. Financially I guess they can now claim a pastoral housing allowance if they're ordained staff. I think the greatest benefits are spiritual.

That would be the clear contrast to the 3 tiered system the UPCI has between local, general and ordained minister ... as well as the monetary requirements ....
I am definitely for some type of training and mentorship ....
I figured that all the pastoral staff was ordained ... as I didn't recall JC having to go through any tiers.
Some of the political benefits within the org deal with being able to eligible for various higher offices.
