Re: Plane Crashes Into Building in Austin

The really sad story here that you won't hear or read much of is how many people has the IRS driven to kill themselves and often their families.

It is a shame our government uses such threats to take all a family has and throw them in the street. I saw a documentary on this years ago and was shocked how often this actually happens.

But we can forgive foreign debt but never an American citizen.

But, aren't most of the cases where people have messed up - - I mean, they DO owe the taxes. It's not like they come after innocent people.

Sometimes it is an innocent mistake. But the IRS can and will slap a huge fine on you and charge an ungodly interest rate for each day you have not paid your due taxes.

So by the time the penalty and the taxes that keep growing can become like a charge card that you will never see the end of. They can garnish your wages to the point you can not afford to make your house note or car note. Where is the logic in that? No transportation no job, no money, no way to pay the IRS. But logic doesn't seem to come with a government job.
