Here is an article on how the "Platinum" came about. This guy is just making himself look like an idiot. Even if he truly believes he should have won, the poor sportsmanship that he has shown will make him go down in history as one of the worlds worst losers and biggest crybaby!

Even Putin has weighed in on it, seriously, are ALL Russians this hostile? The ice dancers who won silver (Domnina and Shabalin) were a little scary to me, the guy looked like he would just as soon hurt you as look at you! lol!

The ironic thing is that the new scoring system was put into affect after the 2002 Winter Olympics because of alleged back room deals made by the French and Russians. Nothing was ever proven but there was enough smoke to make them overhaul the scoring system. The Russians were not crying when allegations of "cheating" benefited them! Just saying...

Anyhow, to Ron, the Canadians have done themselves proud in the ice skating, Virtue and Moir were magnificent! And Joannie Rochette was beautiful last night, what a tragedy for her.

Yes, yes, under the circumstances Joannie did a beautiful job. I've no doubt her mother would have been very pleased. It just broke my heart to see her going through this at this time in her life. She has a lot of strength.

Regarding the E.P. factor: I wonder how the judges will react to him in the future because of all this smack he is saying. When you really look at what he is saying, he is truly implying that the judges are incapable of fair judging. Yes, the guy from the guy from (Domnina and Shabalin) looked off kilter to me.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics

I was just reading the paper and it was detailing all the goings on and people in town for the Olympics & I just realized something about who it was I saw on Monday.
I was walking with my family & noticed an older man walking towards me wearing a NASA Appolo jacket & looked at him & thought, "must be an Astronaut" & put it out of my mind.

Turns out he was Buzz Aldrin.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics

One thing I find fascinating about the Olympics & Olympians is the dedication they have to the sport in which they are seeking to excel.
Some of them spend 5-6 hours a day 7 days a week in training!!!!

When was the last time any of us had a 6 hour prayer meeting, or a 3 day fast?

Ron,
I believe a lot of people are praying and fasting. I don't think because an event is taking place that everyone else stopped living for God, KWIM?

Anyway, I am absolutely loving the Olympics!!!

I loved that the USA Hockey team beat the Swiss yesterday.

Loved the Canadian couple that won the figure skating. No doubt they were the best.

Watching it right now and can't wait until tonight.

I thought he was just talking about their dedication and how we fail sometimes to be THAT dedicated!
