Re: Could we have a NICE thread...
The beginning of this year we were traveling on the road going to a church for services after ministering in Mexico. Our van broke down. We called the closest Pastor (Brother and Sister Steele, Texas) we could locate. He did not know us but showed up to take us to his church where we were included in the mornings service. They had a speaker scheduled but still took time to let us share what thus saith the Lord. Then they fixed our van and the pastors DIL fixed my children a lunch for the road. We then went on to the church we were to attend. We arrived after service started dressed in our "highway clothes." The pastor (Brother Joel Holmes) after service not only gave us cd's, books etc but then escorted us to a dining table and gave us supper. We looked like hobo's folks. It was amazing the treatment we received. The pastor said he did not want us to be out on the road hungry. We were exhausted after
driving up from Old Mexico. I was truly reminded of entertaining angels unawares. These people are sure in for a heavenly reward. We got back on the road and drove home through the snow to our nice warm home. Jesus is good and there are still kind people in the world.

We had such a wonderful visit in Oct., when we went to your leadership conference. We were able to visit and stayed with Renda. We had such a great time! We got to meet so many new people including the McKinnies, Darci and her husband. Looking forward to the next leadership conference!
I feel so blessed to have met and know all these amazing people, all due to being a part of AFF.

Sis. Trouvere,
We know the Steeles from Rockwall, Texas. Have known them for many
years. They are wonderful people of God and I can see them doing just
as you mentioned. They have had their struggles through the years just
as others have had. Those who struggle many times are the ones who
will help others struggling. They remember how it feels to struggle and
need help. You find them helping others in need! They were there, stand-
ing in the gap, between Old Mexico and Little Rock, Ark.
Hugs,

If there was to be a nice award on AFF, it would have to go to you though, Sis. Alvear.
You always have a positive spin, an encouraging word, witty and wise words to share with us in each and every post.
I appreciate the sacrifices you have made and are making to win lost souls to Jesus!

Renda that was so nice of you to notice how nice Sis Alvear was to Mark's niceness. I feel so warm and fuzzy now

Re: Could we have a NICE thread...
Sister Alvear, Thank you for this great thread. It is rare that I look at this site as I am so tempted to "share"! LOL
When I do - seems like it stirs up a hornets nest so - I try to stay off of it.
We so love you and what you are doing there in Brazil. One day I will come see you there. Thanks again for being so sweet!
I love reading Sherri's and Rendi's post too - Always so encouraging. I guess posting the way I do has made me look kinda mean, but my friends know I am really sweet! ;-)
What a GREAT THREAD!
