We vacation where the world vacations. Disney World, Bransom, Gatlinburg, New York and Paris.

We spend like the world spends.

I'm SO TIRED of hearing about a Separation that is NOT A SEPARATION!!!!!!

When we say the world we are speaking of sin! Seperation form sin! Woman not wearing pants has nothing to do with the 1940's!

We have no choice but to live in this world, use phones, computers, etc! But we do NOT have to take part in the sin of this world in how we act, what we do, how we look, or what we take part in.

Daniel had no choice but to live in bablyon, the king tried to feed them with food that was against the word of God. Daniel knew he had to eat, but he refused to eat the kings meat that God warned against!

Separation from the world is not about cars, houses, or gadgets! It's about SIN! If something soley promotes that which is unclean, no christian should have it or do it! Whether it be TV, immodest apparel, wearing clothing for the opposite sex, etc!

You threw in the part about women clothing, and the word still says not to wear apparel of the opposite sex!

So the world says its okay because we have "womens" pants now? Since when did the world standards define what we do?
If the world says its cool for men to wear skirts, do we just change our stand with the times and say its okay?

The world may change, but God's word doesn't.

That doesn't mean that sin is being "promoted." That's a blanket statement. What's the last movie you've seen? Come on, you can tell us.

It's not that the world decides what's sin, we, as a culture, define what is feminine or masculine. Don't believe me, check out China or Scottland a few centuries ago -- heck anywhere for that matter, before pants. The world cultured pants eventually to be a masculine object (not God), and now they have feminine pants and masculine pants. Is this so difficult?

Men in the Bible wore skirts and robes that were technically unisex. Bible speaks to men being men and women being women. Don't miss the forest for the trees.

So in biblical times, both men and women wore robes, yet they were cut differently... nowadays both men and women wear trousers (I try not to use the word pants because it causes my friends from the UK to laugh hysterically), yet they are cut differently. If there is a modesty issue for women wearing trousers, then there is a modesty issue for men wearing trousers, since men quite frankly have more stuff between their legs to hide.

Being of Celtic descent, I've often thought of wearing a kilt, I don't have one, and probably never will, but I doubt my ancestors 300 years ago would have thought they were feminine garments. Why is it okay for the MAN's garments to change over time, but not the woman's?
