Why am I labeled backslid and unusable by God

I disappeared for several reasons.

1. Been busy with Church work

2. I answered his question in the original post.

3. I took heed to this scripture as the thread began to spiral

You are a bit out of context with your Titus bomb. But that's cool. Nothing to respond to.

Ironically, Titus 3:9 should be read aloud before the speakers get up at some of the conferences you've been attending. Might be a good way to prevent "vain strivings about (their own) law."

In some places I'm inclined to agree. As much as this may surprise you, i'm not a fan of choking them with the law, but I do believe in obeying the law.

What were these "fables" that these turned away to? Are we proof-texting again???

Mr NBCox, how can an objective observer tell whether or not if you are the one causing divisions and offenses contrary to the Bible's doctrine?

Doesn't the shortness of your tone here and the curt manner in which you dance around open dialog at least give you the appearance of not wanting to "endure sound doctrine?"

Can you answer without resorting to "fables?"

The problem with the above, is that those scriptures are NOT saying to avoid those that disagree with your doctrine. Think about it, what "truth" was he speaking of? Was he speaking of UPC doctrine that had not been written yet? Was he speaking about men wearing pants, and shouldn't because that would be worldly you know, Paul did NOT wear pants!

It seems to me, that those that do the avoiding, are the ones causing division. They are dividing themselves from people that love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. People that often have more of the fruit of the HS than themselves. People that have more of the important things to God, things beyond a dress code or a church membership.

Funny thing is for me, is that I am much more challenged to live the truths of scripture in the church I attend now than I was EVER challenged in my previous church. Before I was mostly challenged to be "one" with a doctrine, now I am challenged to be one with Jesus.
