And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Some stupid preacher could call out the names of Larry, Moe, and Curly over you when you're being baptized... but if you're calling upon the name of the Lord it's effectual. On the flip side... some preacher could call out the name of Jesus over you a thousand times while you're being baptized, but if you're not calling on the name of the Lord, you're only getting wet.

I'm still waiting on you to show me why being baptized in the name of the Lord only without Jesus is going to send me to hell...

The bible says they did it in Acts 10:48. Were those people lost?

It does not say they did it "without Jesus"...I have no doubt they knew the name of the Lord is Jesus and baptized in his name...obedient to Acts 2:38 and in Acts 19:5....being after chapter 10...no reason to have the revelation of who Jesus is and then leave his name out of baptism that I can see.

So why doesn't the bible say they did it in the name of Jesus in Acts 10:48? Do you think it really means they did even though it doesn't say it?

It doesn't matter what a man says over you if you're truly calling on the name of Jesus in prayer for salvation.

I would not go that far. There should be no question to those who witness the initiation rite, that it is Christ Jesus who is the Saviour and who is being followed.

That's because you see it as a "rite". Biblically, it's the moment of prayer and conversion. Ananias didn't call on the name of Jesus at Paul's baptism... Paul was told to.
We're sacramentalizing just like the Trinitarians. Both Oneness and Trinitarian Christians are doing violence to biblical baptism. This is where the "Kingdom of God" comes in. Those who called on the name of Jesus at their baptism (regardless as to what was uttered over them by some well intentioned priest or preacher) have had their sins remitted. Those who relied on the words of a priest or preacher only got wet, and are dead where they stand.
