Jesus and the apostles had some strong words for those who went against their teachings. Paul turned people over to Satan, disfellowshipped individuals, warned chruches against those who greatly withstood his words.
Peter also made a comment that there were those who wrested the scripture and Paul's writings, and therefore led themselves to their own destruction.
John warned of false prophets and that the church should try their spirits to see if they were of God. John in
Rev 2:2 commends the church for trying those who said they were apostles and were not and found them to be liars.
Tit 3:10-11
"A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself."
It was two strikes and they were out?
