St.Paul's letters are words & principles that he wrote to people in a very different time, place, & culture. Can we read them and find comfort, encouragement, guidance....absolutely!!

But if I believe in and follow St.Paul....I still die in my sins. When it comes to "heaven & hell" doctrines....I only trust Jesus for those.
So...Paul's words were his own? Following this logic, we should throw out everything but the red letters. Hmmmm....

no friend that is bad logic. St.Paul's teachings & writings were just that....his writings & teachings. That in no way means "throw them out"....but it does mean that we should understand who is speaking, to whom he is speaking, and try to understand its proper context.

Do I believe St.Paul thought that 2000 years after he penned his letter...a completely different race & culture of people then he was writing to would be condemning people to hell based on these few lines...absolutely not.

Do not throw them out....but use them for their intended use.
