Now, I probable have read the Bible through many more times b/c I am "addicted" to reading. Once when I was 14 I sat down outside the house in the swing with my Bible and started reading the book of Isaiah. When I turned the page and saw Jeremiah I was amazed that I had read the whoel book.
You can read the whole Bible in 72 hours.
So if you read just 1 hour a day you can be through in 72 days (duh). So if you are consistant with it you could read it through 5 times a year easily like that.
I have listened to the NT twice (I think) this year on CD

Not me.. I must be a slower reader then... no way an hour a day for 72 days.. I started on a mission to read it through late November after just jumping around from book to book before never really completing anything....
I started with the New Testament and I read some in the morning and again at night. The New Testament I loved and can’t wait to get back…well, ok, I cheat and read things like 1 and 2nd Corinthians the other night… I read Romans again.. Gal...maybe that’s my problem.
I’m only read straight through into Deuteronomy in the old testament… but I am not just reading though.. I look up the words I don’t understand or want clarification on. I have an old Hebrew/Greek study bible of my dad’s and I read all the commentary while I am going through. However, honestly, I just don’t find the old as interesting and have fallen asleep in Leviticus and Numbers. I’ve also read 1 and 2 Samuel, Isaiah, Psalms, Proverbs, Esther, Ruth, Job..but I was back in Deut last night. Gotta stay focused.
I don’t know why my parents never had me read it as a child/teen. I read all the time.. I always had my nose in a book and was constantly teased because my name was “Reading” and I was always reading.
