Ever think about how long women have been wearing pants?
Not long!
It mostly started in this new enlightened (backslid) age.
When I was a kid girls were not allowed to wear pants in any form to school.
You go to town and every woman had on a dress or skirt.

Do you agree that pants on women in the West meant something in the early 1900's completely different than it does today? As a symbol, have they changed?
Facial hair has been a symbol for different things.
Hair worn up has been a symbol.
Hair worn down has been a symbol.
Pantyhose and rouge on men has been a symbol.
Do they always mean the same thing throughout eternity????

Ever think about how long men have been wearing pants? Not long.
For over 5,000 years of human history, men wore robes.
Pants on either sex is a pretty new innovation.

This is why I've said previously, on several occasions, that the Oneness Pentecostal Holiness Standards Culture is HIGHLY chauvinistic. They put it ALL on the ladies. Not fair. The women are forced to walk around looking VERY counter-culture, while the guys can look as trendy and fashionable as they like.

I was thinking about this the other day. Consider the facial hair on men issue. It's becoming pretty accepted once again for men to wear facial hair. More and more UPC (and independent Pentecostal) churches are allowing this.
Why? Because the world, which for a while considered beards "hippy-ish", has now become once again accepting of beards.... in other words, culture is changing again. Businessmen are once again wearing facial hair. CULTURE changed... and once again Pentecostal men are changing with the culture.
But women can't.
It's rather amazing.

Wow...I once saw Steve Epley, in one of his, "You can go to heaven with a beard but not from my church" speeches, say that his reason for condemning facial hair was because of the social stigma of the 60's hippie movement.
So culture DID matter, but for the women, it doesn't. Seriously, AQP, if you think about this stuff long enough, it really makes you wanna scream and beat your head against the wall. It's just SO WRONG.

Especially, when you think about the women hippies - - long, uncut hair, no make-up and long dresses.

From what I have heard the OPs started preaching against facial hair before the 60s and just used the 60s as an excuse....which BTW is nearly half a century in the past...the 60s are over and the Hippie movement is over
