My love for God, and truth. I am thankful I am not what I once was. The only righteousness I have is through Jesus Christ. I try to be merciful, but I do not understand why a preacher would not make sure that his "credentials" were truthful. If his degree is honorary he should state the same.
Furthermore, information is so readily available with our technology I think a lot of people should be very careful of claims of education and other parts of their lives.

Actually, citing yourself as a doctor is fine if it's honorary. It's usually police to add "h.c." though. But who cares. This guy isn't a scholar. It's never on his promotions. He doesn't even refer to himself as doctor.

Yep! I think when some of these folks made their claim to education they had no idea that things could be "checked out" and proven or disproven.

Especially with all these Jesus Followers that make a hobby out of assassinating people's character, exposing their sin publicly, and making it their duty as Sheriff's in God's Kingdom to prosecute all they can.
If your concern was in love, then go to your brother in private. If he will not listen, ask a couple other brothers to go with you. Sounds like how this should be handled. Mt 18:15
