I will, without equivocation, state that I believe any woman who would wear a bikini in public has a big time sin problem. It's called lasciviousness.

Yep and so I still am wondering at her motive.

No one posted anything to say that the bikini incident wasn't fact. Did I miss it?

Nevertheless, while unwise, it is not actual fornication, and not biblical grounds for divorce.

Do you think a man lusting after a woman in his heart is grounds for divorce? Jesus said it was the same as committing adultery. That would come a lot closer to being biblical grounds than a bikini.

No, I don't think so. But I am still wondering if she was apostolic or not. Or ever had been, and was a back slider.

Well to put my two cents worth in...fornication means: consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other...adultery means:voluntary sexual intercourse between a married man and someone other than his wife or between a married woman and someone other than her husband...The bible states that in Matt 5:27-32: 27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Ok I like to study and before someone calls anyone something they should look up the definition of that word and I believe just wearing a bikni is not her fornicating the man may have but how does the pastor know she did only the Lord would know her thoughts unless the Lord reveiled it to him...But on the other hand I am not saying what she did was right because if you are living by a standard that is called holiness she should be dressing modestly and not letting it all hang out.

So, I dont think the preacher should have said that from the pulpit he should have pulled her off to the side and advised her that it was not right...but then again I'm not a pastor and he will be the one to answer for what he said not me.

Yet again only my two cent worth...

Her husband was looking for an excuse to tell before the church..... a reason why it was okay for him to divorce his wife and marry another. And a bikini was the best he could come up with?? Don't you think he would have at least have accused her of actual infidelity if he had suspected it??
