'Found' is just a word that the news story used. Doesn't automatically mean he was shocked. He was more than likely upset about her wearing a bikini, but if he had thought she was having an affair, he would probably have said so since they were obviously looking for a reason to okay his marriage to the pastor's daughter.
Whether or not the woman should have been wearing a bikini is really completely irrelevant to this story. She was accused from the pulpit of committing fornication, which she denies. That's the story.

Yeah. When she made that claim she was literally betting $500 Gs that her "innocent" plea was going to hold up in court.
I'm not on the "bikini" lady's side any more than I'm on the "grumpy old preacher's" side. If the Gospel had been preached or even slated to be preached that Tuesday night, none of this would have ever happened.

Pel
, what gospel was Jesus preaching when he said
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

And that's the big story here, in my opinion. Since 'fornication' was needed to justify the divorce.... 'fornication' was stretched to include "exhibitionism". That's very troubling, imo.

It's endorsed doctrine by an Executive presbyter.

But, what if it was an issue, in the church, and he needed to address the congregation so that they could move on? Sometimes that has to take place.
I could see him as an Apostolic minister seeing this woman in bad standing with her actions. I still don't see her dressing in that fashion if she wasn't already acting out in some way. It just doesn't make sense.
I'm not going to prance around in a bikini unless I've worked my way into that state of mind. It started somewhere and it wasn't with my bikini. I just ended up in the bikini. JMO.

I have to amen this comment. I am afraid way to many ministers have lost their fear of the pulpit and use it for their own goals. If his daughter was involved with the man, seems to me there was a personal agenda involved.
If the pastor had not gone to her in private first he was out of order according to the scriptures.

Agreed, I think there was more to this story and going by what I have read thus far, seems to me the "family" was involved.
