The only place I can find a reference to "spiritual fornication" is on this site. Thanks.

Yes, I am going on what Kennedy stated in the article you linked.

He said the pastor tried to twist it to some kind of "spiritual" fornication.

Isn't fornication a work of the flesh?
While "spiritual" or figurative fornication - IDOLATRY- according to the Word?

Angela, being the former pastor's daughter adds a whole new dynamic to this, imo.

For the record, I don't believe Lois is lying. She had done an excellent job pointing out the FACTS to this story. Only pointed to it as a variable in the logic proofs I posed.

All things being true this becomes a serious doctrinal issue also.

So.....the accused was the former pastor's adopted daughter? AND...she didn't want the divorce! The plot thickens!

Did Fogarty call it spiritual fornication when he first discussed it from the pulpit, or only as a last resort in court? Did Fogarty call it that at all, or was that just the only way Kennedy could describe it as it was presented in court?

I know none of us has answers to these, just more questions. I agree that there are several new dynamics coming to light. I'm sure we will never know the entire situation, but it is a serious doctrinal issue... marriage and divorce is an issue that many pastors and members have struggled with, just not to this extent or with this sort of publicity.

Very good and fair questions.
