Not entirely clear what you're saying though.

Is there a "pause" button where a man is presented options on how to "respond" or does the brain have reactions on its own?
I think only a man can answer that. lol

I'm asking to learn their own perception of men. So, that would require their response.

Okay then, I believe that men do have a pause button where they are presented with options. I say that because scripture wouldn't make it clear that if a man lust in his heart, he has committed adultery. I don't believe that scripture would be in the bible if men did not have an option.

That's very interesting.

To clarify, I'm talking initial psychological responses to visual images. We don't control that. It's instant. We can and should control things after that point. Whether we learn to bounce our eyes away, come up with practical solutions to "flee fornication," or whatever that looks like.

I'm not tricking anyone.

I'm trying to show how we perceive these fundamental differences informs our ideas about the particulars.

Furthermore, the whole idea of sex scenes in movies, men checking women out (not out of sin, but out of consideration for his wife who is with him, as one poster said), must be considered.

How does this affect our attitudes towards media?

Or is it because the male is "head of the house" and our "provider/protector" that causes the scripture to address him in this way. Just thinking out loud.
