You have to "keep reading."

I got my doctrine from this passage.
Surely it wasn't that simple, Bro. Blume!! LOL!

Unless Pel has a dictionary that gives a different definition of COMMANDED than mine does.

Gill: Act 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized,.... By some of the six brethren that came with him from Joppa, who might all of them, at least some of them, be ministers of the Gospel: and this he ordered to be done.

Sister, he did not say "DEMANDED", though, did he. Pel said DEMANDED.

Sorry, Cornelius was demanded to be baptized, and baptism is part of salvation according to Peter and Jesus. Case closed. (That pesky Peter. And JESUS?).

You're losing track, Bro. YOU said "demanded" and I put it in quotes because I was quoting YOU.

Got a smiley for that?

You missed the humour. In my estimation, DEMANDED is the same as COMMANDED. But the only way you could be correct, is for you take my term DEMANDED and say that term was not found in the text, and COMMANDED was alone, as though the two terms did not mean the same thing.

According to the Greek, command (prostasso) is an orderly arrangement derived from the root "tasso" - to arrange in an orderly manner, assign or dispose, appoint, ordain and determine.

hmm... your "estimation" seems to wiggle about a bit. First, YOU said "Demanded." Then, you denied it and said, "Pel said Demanded."

Then you share a laugh with P.O. and come back saying, "Well, it's the same thing..."

Fair enough, but why don't you stick with one story?

The plain fact remains - Cornelius and his household were as saved as you and I. AND, it was for this reason that they were baptized. There's no way out of that.
