Re: Isaiah 3 and jewelry...
Rev 21:2-3
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
KJV
The city is adorned as bride. "tabernacle of God is with men"
Rev 21:18-22
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper : and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper ; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it
KJV
One decked out tabernacle/temple.

Yes, in heaven...we're not in heaven, we're on earth! You need to explain why NONE of the dwelling places of God on Earth had, nor have, the gold, silver, brass on the outside [minus your eraser theology], but ALWAYS on the inside. "Whatsoever things were written before hand were written for OUR admonition....".

Did you read what was posted. Bible states the city is the tabenacle among men. The new jerusalem city is not in heaven but is the church now in the world.
The bible describe the city as bride adorned for her husband. doubt that was inner adornment.

Obviously YOU'RE the one not reading what's written! Your verse is from the end of Rev., at the end of the eschaton....not the NT church age! So, your hermeneutical methodology is to pit Scripture against other Scriptures which you have no explanation for [e.g., I Tim. 2:9, I Ptr. 3:3].
It's called the Fallacy of Neglected Aspect in logic [save it Jeffrey!].You present a one-sided argument [Rev.] in favor to the perilous neglect of another side of the coin [I Tim. 2]. By the way, while your quoting from Rev., how about quoting the Bride who was clothed in pure white raiment in contrast w/ the whore of Babylon decked out in jewels! Hmmm, places your position in unfavourable fellowship to say the least! You guys just refuse to get it.......

Let me help you out here [probably to no avail]: The OT Tabernacle, Solomons Temple, the 2nd temple, the Man, Christ Jesus...were all the dwelling places of God ON EARTH [seize on that]....& yet N-O-N-E of them had the jewels/metals on the OUTSIDE, but always & ever on the INSIDE. This is the typological reason why Moses had Israel put the gold on the INSIDE, instead of the OUTSIDE [where they previously had it...hint, hint]. Yet, you fella's would have us believe that every dwelling place of God on Earth possessed the gold/silver/brass internally....except the NT church??????? Even though He inspired the 2 foremost apostles to instruc the church, "NOT with...GOLD JEWELRY, PEARLS...."?
Then you guys want to correct M-Y theology on the matter!?!?!? Seriously, you need to study a little more & pray w/ an honest heart to God about this matter...remember He won't lead you contrary to His written Word.
Out of pocket 2mmorrow...check back Thurs., if I can. Blessings anyway...rdp.
