I think that Newt Gingrich has done the right thing and has reset our focus on the national security debate. I would love for a leader to emerge that would stay the course with this line of thinking and action.
Islam regards lies, violence and threats of violence as legitimate means of gaining political ends. The only capacity Islam respects in an "unbeliever" is the capacity to use diplomacy or military force successfully against it. Their ability to reform is due to our appeasement and we need to change that. Appeasing the Islamic militants in America is only making it harder for the more tolerant Muslims to emerge. We cannot continue to encourage their victimhood. All that does is feed the mind of the suicide bomber. Our political correctness movement has done nothing but produce a climate where it is easy for the Muslims to lie about the true nature of Islam and get away with it. I'm tired of it. I want it to stop!
You might be interested in these clips. Part one and Two. They both speak about how American Intel knows what is going on and if you study the things that Johnson, Ford, Kissinger, Carter and Clinton did - appeasement with the Muslims at the expense of slaughtered Christians, it's astounding. Everyone of them allowed the slaughter of Christians. So, actually, Imam Rauf is almost correct that we do have blood on our hands. Not in the killing, but not trying to stop it. We used militant Islam as a tool of policy not realizing the blowback.
