When God is drawn into a man's corner, he feels justified to destroy those who disagree with, or disobey an opinion that they think is most definitely God's idea. Look at America. We put, "In God We Trust" on our money, and say, "One Nation Under God" in our pledge. When going to a battlefield, we take these with us for cause and security, giving us purpose to fire off another round or drop another bomb.

Whether we like it or not, the Bible is full of violence and murder. The Bible is also full of hope and forgiveness, which I imagine can be found in the Quran.

The quran doesn't directly offer hope, salvation, redemption or remission iof sins. They do say there are scales and if your good is more than bad, then maybe you are ok.
