Actually the deals that hampered child labor had 3 issues among others.

It was incredibly dangerous for kids doing certain jobs adults could do more salely
Adult males wanted unions so that companies wouldn't let children undercut their wages. The unions protect the adults and not the kids.
Companies actually were tired of limits with children. They had no education and just worked. Groups having nothing to do with unions sought laws to require kids go to school and have an education and learn sharper skills.

It also keeps them visiting face to face.

I did define stealing. It isn't hard to understand. If you take that which is mine without my knowledge or consent. Then it is stealing. Simple.

Ahh... nothing like the good ol' "Don't like it here - move" argument.

There isn't an endless supply of candidates who are worthy of my vote. Sorry. Just because there are candidates doesn't mean I should vote for them.

What happens if one doesn't wish to pay taxes?

They are assaulted by guys with guns and then put in small cages -- all for not bowing down to the extortion.

Exactly.

Well then, I ask you to legally define "consent"

(Do you view all taxes as stealing? Curious)

But with a twist. You insist you are being robbed. I'm telling you aren't because you live in a representative democracy that you participate with (I'd imagine), vote for, and then collectively accept the results. That's not exactly thievery. If you still refuse to see that you aren't being robbed, I'd go somewhere where I'm not being so victimized. That's all.

Ah, so it's not that they are kidnapping you, they are enforcing a law that you refuse to obey. You are very loosely and creatively referring to that as kidnapping. And no, they won't assault you, unless you resist them.

Read some history. Then tell us if we are a democracy.

What's the difference? According to my Merriam-Webster:

•Democracy — Government by the people; government in which the supreme power is retained by the people and exercised either directly (Ablsolute, or pure), or indirectly (representative).

•Republic — A state in which the sovereign power resides in a certain body of the people (the electorate), and is exercised by representatives elected by, and responsible to, them.
Articles I and II of the Constitution are very explicit: We choose representatives and they make the rules that we live by until its time to choose again. Thank God we don't have to run down to the townhall, the statehouse, or the nation's capitol to decide every question.
