I never said only my opinion counted.  I guess to back up my statement...I have faith that God is good and loving, and scripture gives that faith backbone. I also see in scripture where He has always exercised judgment AND has allowed suffering, so I feel that I must assume the two aren't contradictory.
You're the one who stated that there were only two options regarding God allowing evil/pain in the world. Since we know that He does allow evil/pain to exist in the world, then is it because He lacks love for humanity or lacks the power to stop it?
I definitely believe we are inferior to God in knowledge & power, and therefore can't possibly expect to play by His rules. (With the exception of the rules He has commanded us to follow.) How is that contradictory? Do you believe we have the same knowledge, power and authority as God?
