Indeed. Routine blood work for all personnel would be nice to safeguard against HIV or any other disease, be it in homosexuals or heterosexuals.

News flash. Bloodwork doesn't safeguard against disease. Ever.
It is a diagnostic tool that catches disease that resulted from lack of safeguards.
