Honestly I have thought about it and I do believe it. Here is why because when Peter pointed back to Joel in verse 21 in
Acts 2 he said that you "call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved." And as the chapter goes on it says they were pierced their hearts, that is where the repentance happened. They asked what to do next IMO, and Pete basically recapped what he just said. Repent/turn from your sins (which they already did), then wash yourself then you will receive the HS. The receipt of the spirit is similtanious to salvation, but when Pete says "then you will receive the HS" is to say that you will receive it when you do this. The key is that Pentecostals see the HS as tongues and it isn't. Tongues is a subsquent thing that comes from receiving the HS.
