Growing up in a Pastor's home I can truly say that one of the many benefits, were having different ministers in our home. And, especially missionaries. It was always a wonderful time. My Mom was a wonderful homemaker and we always had them stay in our home and they ate with us. But, we did notice how tired some of them were and what a taxing thing it was to travel with children to several different places a week. But just as you said, we could always feel their burden and the love for the people.
One time I remember taking a missionary family to the lake in our city and having hamburgers and a picnic. They have always made sure that they let my parents know whenever they see them how much they enjoyed it.
