My point is that there is a reason for what they do. Maybe the process could be made more passenger friendly. Screeners would rather not have to pat down total strangers.
What is the reason????
Again, as I said, we know why we take our shoes off....

Sandie... sometimes the TSA can't release information that they have. It would alert various terrorist groups as to what tactics we're looking out for... it would also endanger various intelligence sources.
This can be a very complicated issue. Remember, the people on the ground who are reporting the methods terrorists are considering could be compromised. They are risking their lives to help us, do we endanger them because someone is upset about getting a mere patt down?

You had me until the use of the word "mere".
THAT is part of the problem the average citizen who wants to travel via air has with this whole situation.
Our concerns are not validated, so we fear they'll never be addressed.
We're just a bunch of whinny cry babies ignorant of the real world.

My point is that a patt down is just a mere patt down compared to an agent or informant loosing their lives. I guess they don't matter?

This is getting silly.
It's not a "mere" pat down, this is new to a free people. The choices are being looked at in the nude or having a total stranger touch you in places nobody has the right to do so.
Then to suggest that I or anyone else would rather seen someone else lose their lives so we can be more informed is insulting.
