I just got the scoop.

When someone goes on Medicare D the state pick picks up the tab until $2400 then they fall into a gap until $5451.

During the gap period they pay 20% plus the original co-pay. After the gap they pay 5% of the cost.

Solution for gappers?

A. Suck it up

B. Don't bye groceries

C. Divorce to qualify for indigent programs

D. Blame the republicans

Yesterday a poll had Congress's approval rating at 14%. That is about half of GWB's.

I think the public is starting to realize what they got when they elected a Democrat majority in congress. It is downright scary listening to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and the other Dem leaders.

Anyone paying attention to Washington right now knows the idea that id doesnt' matter which party is in power is just absurd.

I'm very intersted in your wifes plan. I need knowledge. I just put a call into the Dept. of Public Aid so that I could be helped to understand.

But I really do think that the ball was dropped in the formation of this Plan D. There is no help out there for our elderly, or should I say very little. I honestly think this poor lady thinks that divorce is an option.

What s even more sad is that I get tons of people in my office who need med assistance who have been denied from the state dept because they don't have a child.

Now what does that promote?
Bro, I would not vote for this man running on his record again. I hold no small distain for BIG Government. I know that the social security system is bankrupt and that means millions who have depended only on BIG Government to support them are headed to be in the same peril as this woman.

The donut is not understood by many seniors. In traditional medical plans you pay a deductible- 100 % sometimes up to a certain dollar amount, then you pay a percentage to another dollar amount. You then have 100% coverage after paying a certain capped amount. My deductible now is $3000. My max out of pocket is $3600.

In Medicare, you pay a 120 deductible. You do not pay again for the first $2500. You then pay 100% of the amount above $2501 and up to $5000 where again the plan pays again. Supplements pay this "donut hole gap" and sometimes differ from company to company and state to state.

My inlaws I believe have theirs through AARP. They had to research many plans to find one with "donut hole" coverage.

California offers a subsidy from the drug companies for those unable to afford these programs. Does her doctor have any samples of the lantis?

I could do dope and go out of play and get a SSI disability. I would have food stamps, help with housing and supplemental insurance. I would then vote for Hillary too.

Good info. Bro.

I am learning this stuff just now. My program doesn't have to deal with it at all.

Seniors are being forced to deal with things that are very involved at a time in their life when its hard to comprehend. Its a tragedy.

The lady I referred to has coverage thru a very popular ins. co. ONe that covers all State employees. I have been given a phone # to the Dept on Aging where supposedly she will get help.

Another problem in the community is that a major facility for internal med has discontinued there sample program.

That is perfectly fine with me. I belive there are enormous distinctions between the two major parties and the Republican one fits me just fine. Nothing is ever going to be perfect but within the reality of what views are going to be electable I am a Republican through and through. I don't live in a pie in the sky fantasy world where Kenneth Haney is going to be elected President and force old time Pentecostal morality on the masses as some sort of king.
