No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

What is this about?

Suddenly an angel appeared. His garment was covered with small licks of fire." "He answered that I should take authority over the spirit of saura." These quotes are taken from the testimony that Pastor Steven L. Shelley shared after having an incredible divine experience of a very real angel appearing in his vehicle. The angel told him about a strong angel that was on the way to deal with principalities that are holding people back from the fullness of their destinies. Then a gigantic demonic lizard appeared on the hood of his truck which the angel told him was the spirit of saura.

Pastor Shelley shares the whole experience and explains what he found out about the spirit of saura.

What is the spirit of saura suppose to be?

Good grief. But sadly this insanity runs rampant in this movement. I was at a meeting years ago a preacher was preaching about the day of mercy was about to close he was pounding the pulpit which had a plaster eagle(that is a revelation in itself) it fell and broke. The preacher went hysterical, weeping O My God it is over. Thus the broken eagle meant mercy was over!

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
