Again churches and church orgs may not be doing it completely right but the first church was organized. They set up a system of government by elders and Apostles. They sent out missionaries and church planters etc etc

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

You both make good points.
Not sure if satan's influence is
as easily quantifiable as that.

"To everything there is a season" might
have some bearing here?

I can't even save a Word document without my pastor. He has to come to my house and click, "File, Save". He's getting a little annoyed, I think...

Re: "You Can't Be Saved Without a Pastor."

I asked if I could turn on auto-save and he just sputtered and said, "We're not Baptists!". What did he mean by that?

My question for the forum is if one is honest and real with oneself, and all the churches in one's area have some issue of difference, is one out of the will of God to attend these one or more of these churches but not join and just keep an honest relationship with God even if one feels they cannot fully submit to any of the pastors because they don't share the same revelation?
A very good point. Who is more in the will of God? One who perhaps meets with two or three gathered......or one "goes to Church" where practically all the foundation doctrine is false.

An example:

Concerning the rapture Paul (an apostle) said
Quote:
"Let no man DECEIVE you by any means for that day shall NOT COME unless there be a falling away first AND that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition".
2 Thess 2:2

So right there rules out most Churches anywhere of any denomination.

The Lord has told us not to let any man deceive us. So we are supposed to sit under their "Pastoral care" in disobedience to the Apostolic admonition?

Thats just one example how mixed up it gets. So no I dont believe God wants me to surrender the truth for a lie so I can "go to Church".

Dont get me wrong. I want to be part of a local body. On the other hand I dont want to be part of spreading false doctrines to my locale. For some years now my answer has been meeting with a few like minded people in a voice active chat room situation.

Ok let me rephrase that then. Most organized church systems adopt the 501 C 3 tax-exempt status and follow the IRS rules and regulations so that their local body will not have to pay taxes.

Most small local home churches and people who gather for a bible study do not align themselves to be a tax-exempt organization.

Christ said "For where two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them". There are no elders, pastors, prophets in this scenario, yet Christ accepts that two or three are gathered together in His name to come together for worship and He is among them. Who dares to defy what Christ declares?

Oh but then brothers and sisters in the Lord will tell you that you are not saved.

Wonder why I never meet any of these people.
I have this theory that I have met some,
and they just instinctively have better sense than
to try that in my hearing...
