If they spell the name Miracle we are most likely related. The name is from where Germany is today and was first spelled "merkel" as in the current German Chancelor. Our ancestors had to flee the country because of famine and Catholic persecution. By way of England Fredrick Merkel first came to NY and several generations later most of the family settled in Bell County KY. Feel free to pass on my name to Rodney.
