My dad used to have a really beautiful voice, when he was a teenager he was actually offered a record contract from a talent scout.

Years of preaching and singing and not necessarily taking care of his voice have taken a toll, but I still love to hear him sing. And I love that song, as well!

I love all of the praise and worship but we need the old songs like this. A lot of these types of songs we're born out of a deep experience with God and are really edifying. I hope our churches don't discard this type of singing completely.
