Lake Tahoe/Reno Bound
Kristin and I are flying out for a week of "business" and a dose of pleasure.
I am blessed to have Kristin going with me to the Hearth EXPO show this year. Grandma Hoover is homeschooling the kids and caring for them.
Staying at Lake Tahoe tomorrow night then the Reno Atlantis Hotel the rest of the week.
We have just emerged from a very busy season and we are both glad for a break...
You all be good and pray that I can resist the eleventh helping of King Crab legs....

Have a great time. I just had the first fresh salmon dinner I'd had in a long time.

If you have time, we are about 3 hours away from Tahoe, we would love to have you drop in. But understand if you can't.
Eat at Harrah's Buffet, on the 18th floor, it is the best one in town.

We would LOVE that - but I know it won't happen this time (I need some CEUs). Every day is booked except for the day at Lake Tahoe.
Thanks alot for the invite though!
We may get over to Harrah's... but I can't imagine it being better than the seafood I had at Atlantis a couple years ago!

Re: Lake Tahoe/Reno Bound
So, this "business trip," is it really necessary? You big wigs with your expense accounts really have the nerve. After seeing Uncle Sam bailout other fat cats you feel no hesitation crowding up to a plate stacked with crab legs higher than your hat?

LOL! You would think big wig... you should get a little soot on those soft hands. I am hiding a lot more than crab legs under that hat
Advise on the dipping butter: Soup bowls really help cut down the trips to the bar.

Re: Lake Tahoe/Reno Bound
I have been to Reno / Lake Tahoe several times on business trips I managed to mix a little vacation into and I really enjoyed myself.
Lake Tahoe is beautiful and Reno is interesting!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

SH if you come through Phoenix let me know I am right next to the airport at work so I can run over and meet you all.

Re: Lake Tahoe/Reno Bound
Not going through Phoenix, JT. But that would be a blast. I will keep that in mind for future reference.
I had a layover (overnight actually!) in Phoenix a couple years ago because of a sandstorm.
