"It's not productive, given the history of U.S.-Iranian relations, to be seen as meddling -- the U.S. President meddling in Iranian elections." Obama said at a White House Press conference with South Korean President Lee.

That was about the recent Iranian revolt ...
Fast forward to this weeks coup in Honduras ...
From Reuters:
"Zelaya, in office since 2006, was overthrown in a dawn coup on Sunday after he angered the judiciary, Congress and the army by seeking constitutional changes that would allow presidents to seek re-election beyond a four-year term.
The Honduran Congress named an interim president, Roberto Micheletti, and the country's Supreme Court said it had ordered the army to remove Zelaya."
So we have the Congress and Supreme Court of Honduras supporting the removal of Zelaya ... according to Honduras' law.
Yet, what's BHO's statement?
Quote:

"We believe that the coup was not legal and that President Zelaya remains the president of Honduras, the democratically elected president there," Obama told reporters after an Oval Office meeting with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.

Obama said he would work with the Organization of American States and other international institutions to restore Zelaya to power and "see if we can resolve this in a peaceful way."

So it's wrong to meddle in Iran where its citizens are fighting for democracy ... but it's OKAY to meddle in Honduras and work to restore a leftist back to power against the rule of law in Honduras ...?
JD, MikeinAR ... care to try to explain why BHO would meddle with a sovereign nations lawful removal of a leader, when he was largely unwilling to show any support with Iran?
