22 July 1844–Maria Beulah Woodworth-Etter, Holiness evangelist popular in early Pentecostal meetings, was born in Lisbon, Ohio.


13 July 1872—Daniel Charles Owen Opperman, Oneness Pentecostal pioneer and educator, was born in Elkhart County, Indiana.


15 July 1880—G.T. Haywood, Oneness Pentecostal pioneer, pastor, and apologist, was born in Greencastle, Indiana.


15 July 1901—Gates to Zion, Illinois opens. This utopian community was founded by healing preacher, John Alexander Dowie, and many of his followers converted to Pentecostalism beginning in 1906.


10 July 1905—First Pentecostal services were held in Houston, Texas by Charles Fox Parham and 25 workers. Meetings were conducted in Bryan Hall.


18 July 1908—Eudorus N. Bell received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the North Avenue Mission, Chicago, Illinois.


July 1912—Maria Woodworth-Etter, famous female healing evangelist, conducted her first Pentecostal meeting in Dallas, Texas at the invitation of F.F. Bosworth.


10 July 1916– Oliver Franklin Fauss, former United Pentecostal Church Assistant General Superintendent, married Jewel Smith.


July 1919–Robert Clarence Lawson left the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World over differences concerning divorce and female ministers. He went to New York and eventually organized the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.


July 1921–Permanent headquarters for the Pentecostal Assembleis of the World were purchased in at 2026 Roosevelt Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana


July 1934—Headquarters of the Pentecostal Church Incorporated moved from Louisiana, Missouri to Dallas, Texas.


28 July 1934—William “Billy” Cole, former member of the Executive and Foreign Missions Board of the United Pentecostal Church, and well-known revivalist, was born in Newark, Ohio.


July 1952—Eunilah Rutledge opened the first Apostolic Faith Church in Nova Scotia. She later traveled with Charlotte Keckler, an escaped nun who converted to Pentecostalism.


July 1962–First issue of the Conquerors Tread, a youth magazine of the United Pentecostal Church, was printed. W.C. Parkey was the first editor.


13 July 1964—Howard Archibald Goss, early Pentecostal pioneer and first General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church, died.


23 July 1970—Joseph James Roswell Flower, founding member of the executive board of the Assemblies of God, died in Springfield, Missouri.


22 July 2000—Morris E. Golder, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World bishop and historian, died in Indianapolis, Indiana.
