I pity the fool who ends up with these little teeny boppers on youtube who make all of the "this is how I make myself look so great... watch so you can be as beautiful as me" videos.

Those are going to be some high maintenance chicks.

COuple of my daughter's friends are that way, my kid already know not to even point that direction...

I think it is because of reality TV monkey see monkey do. it is rediculess.

What a shame. My girls are great. The 19 year old has her own job,money,car
etc. The thirteen year old is taking her ACT Saturday and her biggest thing is the
schools Beta and Library clubs. I won't say they never need their attitudes adjusted or
things put into prospective but I did not teach them that the icing is more important than
the cake because it isn't. Though I have to say that no icing on the cake is a very
plain cake so some niceties are important for girls.

I have a differing personal opinion.

I think there is little more beautiful than the natural beauty that is a woman's face.

We have been trained to feel that a woman is plain jane if she isn't "iced" to some degree but I feel the complete opposite.

This is certainly a factor but I have learned this... women don't dress up for men... they dress up for their contemporaries.

In a large sense women do what women feel they need to do to gain acceptance with their peers.

The first part is absolutely true. It always amuses me when men think that women dress up for them. They rarely do. We expect our women friends to notice, not the men.

The second part is true in some cases, not all. Many women do what they do simply because they themselves like it. It's what makes them feel attractive, and causes them to walk with more of a spring in their step, to be happy with what they see in the mirror. I think only the insecure dress to please others.
