Testimony Time-

If you haven't read Sis Esters message on faith on the "Sermon Experiment" Thread (Deep Waters), you really should. Sure pumped some faith into my leaky boat of unbelief. Let me tell ya what happened....

I've been out of work for a few weeks. Things have been getting tight, as tight as a UPC preachers belt. I've been out of work so long, I've been thinking about writing a country music song, "Oh, Lord, someone south of the border done got my job".

Anyway, as I read Sis Esters message, I felt convicted. I realized I was as guilty as those disciples who stayed with the boat instead of going to the Lord. So, as I read, I prayed, "Oh Lord, forgive my doubt." Then I wrote a response to Sister Esters message. Just about the time I was gonna post it, the phone rang. It was a company that I worked for 3 years ago. A company that had gone out of business. The owner, who didn't even know I was out of work, was calling to tell me the company is starting back up and he wanted to know if I was interested in coming back to work for them- tomorrow! And, he has enough work to hire me full time! And this is the very company I had always hoped to go back to work for!

So, first, I want to thank Sis Ester for "upsurpin authority" over this doubtin' Thomas and preaching conviction to my unbelieving heart. And I wanna thank God for puttin the answer to my prayer on the "fast track". But, did He have to do it tomorrow? I was really hopin to do some kayakin' tomorrow!

Re: Testimony Time-

That's great!

And I understand the missing the kayaking, lol, my son and I just went yesterday afternoon and had a blast, (even if we caught very few fish).

You'll just have to make up missing it, and go twice next weekend!
