Interior Decorators

Hello Guys and Gals et al...

I need some advice. We are in the planning stages for a total kitchen redo.

Our house is 1904 Victorian.

Here is my first question. What can we get away with regarding colors for cabinetry? It seems most Victorian kitchens were white/off white.

I was going to say wall-to-wall bookshelves then I saw it was the kitchen lol

Good luck.

I like that! We have a bit of sage trim exterior, and one interior room.

Would that work with these appliances? Both the fridge and the stove will be cranberry with chrome. Most of the room (there are lots of doors and windows) will be cabinetry. I do think it could work.

Hoove, you've been on TV once already. I am sure if you wrote into HGTV on their web site they would be more than happy to send a designer out for a home makeover for one of their shows. In fact I can imagine they would love to "modernize an old Amish home!". lol

I don't have alot of upclose on the sage. It's mostly a fascia trim, but also some on the front and the latticework.

Re: Interior Decorators

Sage is nice, but not sure how it would compliment the burgandy applicances. I would go with a warm milk color myself.....not white - not beige - just a warm white.

The sage looks good here, but the appliances aren't burgandy.
