Our writings

Just a suggestion to us all:

I sometimes read such cutting almost cruel remarks that we make to each other. I would suggest unless you feel someone is in a dangerous cult we address our differences in love and kindness....
If you have outward standards of holiness and you are cutting cruel and cold you have accomplished nothing except to wound or kill one more.
If you do not have outward standards of holiness and you are cutting, cruel and cold you have accomplished nothing except wounding or killing someone...
( I am talking of dress mostly)
LOVE is the greatest mark of a christian...I am not saying to condone sin in either camp but I am saying as an old missionary bitterence destroys and it magnifies faults...I have seen many people destroyed over bitterence. In fact I am wittnessing it happen in a person's life right now.
Learn to forgive....forget...and keep the right spirit and we can change our hearts and attitudes. Jesus would not have told us we can if we did not have the power to do so...

If we cannot forgive changing churches, moving to another state or whatever will not help for we take the old festering sore with us...I have watched over the years those that run from things run the rest of their lives for they did not clean out the sore and let it heal.

That does not mean we have to stay forever some where but we MUST heal or we are gone forever...

Many times those that have bitterence are they themselves the reason for it. I told our ladies last night admitting sin and guilt does not make us less it makes us more in Christ and our brothers and sisters realize we are not proud but clothed with hulmity...Humility melts people's hearts...pride destroys...

Now just to show you how terribly human I am...Many years ago I failed...I really did...I did not commit adultry or some namebrand horrible sin..but there was an area I failed. After I really realized I was wrong and made a wrong decision no one told me to do it but at one of our conventions I got up and told our people I had made a wrong decision and asked them to pray for me. That did not make our people feel I was less missionary they realized I was just human...( I had a nervous breakdown) back then I did not know what was wrong today I know what it was...
I carried too big of a load..today I learned from that to delegate authority before I thought in sincerity I had to do it all! So, time teaches us many lessons...
Some people drown in a glass of water...
I am by nature a person that can type a letter, think about special services and their schedules, talk to someone at the same time. That is my nature. But sometimes there are things we must change so that we can be more forceful in the KINGDOM...
I learnt to trust people. Yes, I have been hurt by trusting but I learned not everyone will fail and that is what is important.
Focus on the good things...

Mother Alvear,
So true...By this shall all men know you are My {Jesus'} disciples...by the LOVE ye have one to another!

We can have many differences and still be 'saved' but we cannot NOT have love and be a disciple of Christ!

Respectfully, Rhoni
