Praise the Lord?

Just wondering... why do we so often say 'Praise the Lord' when greeting one another, when I cannot find one instance in the Bible of such a greeting? Instead, greetings seem to be along the lines of 'Grace and peace to you' or something like that.

I am not saying this is wrong. But why do we not greet one another more often in a Biblical manner?

Re: Praise the Lord?

Ate up w tradition...you don't greet one another that way then you're not "totally in"...getting real close but haven't quite commited wholy to the system, I mean the church

Preacher friend of mine always greets the congregation with "praise the Lord Saints(pause for reply)...praise the Lord again". I think he's trying to get everybody to do what they're saying.

Tradition.
Religious traditions of men passed on as a sign of holiness.

I do not practice this junk, but my parents did.

There is no value in walking around greeting people that way.
