I have always had a special place in my heart for Africa...

Re: Why do We Romanticize Foreign Missions?

You know this may seem strange but these little home missions churches have always been so good to share... May God give them all a very special blessing in Jesus Name.

Considering all the questions you won't answer, I surely wouldn't answer this. But knowing Sis. Alvear she probably will answer you.

Talk about ridiculous...

Yes, I do...and not only give over the years we have ministered in many home mission churches and never asked anything in return.

You must not have read that it was my burden to have home missions here in Brazil and we have them in several areas.

And before you ask...yes, I go to the areas, stay with the people, eat what they eat and sleep where they sleep.

Charnock, I know your real name....Maybe you should call my best friend that has been to Brazil over 20 times...ask her...where we have stayed as she has traveled and preached in many states with me here in this vast land...
Sister Deborah Burris...from Southport, North Carolina....Her pastor is Charles Drew...he too has been here...give them a call...they might tell you things you don't even know about me...

Re: Why do We Romanticize Foreign Missions?

And for the record...today I do have a nice home...paid for by an American...however I have lived about everywhere...including houses with no running water...lived once in a van until we could do better...IF YOU REALLY knew me you would know things mean very little to me...my friends came over from the states to decorate my home...yes and by the way since you seem to want to know personal things...my husband and I had a will made up not too long ago and when we pass after bills and other things are paid Whatever is left is to be given to HOME MISSIONS...

now should I put a copy of the will here?...lol...
I am a very transparent person. That is my personality...I really have nothing to hide for whatever I may have come from the hands of God's precious family...

Re: Why do We Romanticize Foreign Missions?

The people who attack missions are usually nothing more than carnal wolves in sheep's clothing, hating the work of God, and jealous of the supernatural work God is doing in the lives and through the lives of missionaries. I know I may be in the minority on the following, but I believe every man/woman/it who attacks missionaries on forums should be banned for doing so.
