Re: What can you NOT do?

It's hamburger meat mixed with manwich. It's what midwesterners call BBQ.

Re: What can you NOT do?

It is amazing how different parts of the country have different names for the same foods... grew up eating those manwich sandwiches, and calling them sloppy joes or BBQ sandwiches.

It was when in Texas that I had real BBQ ... and now we're talking real BBQ! Nothing like a good ole brisket smoked for hours so tender til it is falling apart .... mmhmmm ... now THAT is BBQ!

Yes, and real bbq is a cooking process with nothing to do with the sauce (or dry rub) used. It is long and slow for the purpose of breaking down connecting tissue in the meat. Where most of the polocks in my family think of cooking as hot and fast (and thus tough and tasteless).

Lightbulb Re: What can you NOT do?

I can not forget to feed my cats canned gravy catfood in the evenings. The deaf cat- Driscoll will jump on my bed or perform tricks until he gets canned catfood for all 4 cats.

Oh blah! Why did you remind me of polack cooking? My mother made stuff out of sour kraut, white sauce, duck soup (don't ask ... it's gross)

The only thing I actually like is the real kielbasa.
