"He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks."
Romans 14:6
When it comes to the tree and to the day itself that's how I see it. From what I've seen there are sincere Christians who celebrate it and those who don't, and there are sinners who celebrate it and sinners that don't.
If you celebrate it and raise up a tree do it unto the Lord and remember why you do so.
If you don't, then don't do it unto the Lord, and remember why you do not.
Justify it in your heart with prayer and fasting. I think people on both sides get so caught up in it they do or don't do it for the wrong reasons. Many celebrate Christmas for the sake of commercialism and gain. Others DON'T celebrate it out of a nasty "holier then thou" I studied and have found out that you are all going to Hell spirit. Either way THEY are wrong, and those who celebrate it to remember Christ and those who don't celebrate it out of personal conviction are both right. And when we who are right get to Heaven they'll be no Christmas trees to argue over.
I'm such a heathen...
