Where Are The Real Apostolics? - Page 24

Some of you remind me of a neighbor girl from my childhood.

She and a friend asked me to come over for a "conference" (exact words) with them. I was 14-year-old at the time. Both of them knew my family was "poor" and from time to time she thought fit to remind me of it....or rather that she knew it and to make me feel less than human.

I was told in the "conference" that unless I started to dress in better clothes, I could not hang out with the two of them.

So...I had to look a certain way to have them as a friend?

Now late in life, I confront this same attitude again...over and over.

This can't happent until the "antichrist" is on the scene. Nice try.

I think the problem is wanting to be identified as an Apostolic over a blood bought child of God. An apostle doesn't save and keep us. Jesus saves us and the Holy Ghost keeps us ready. It is all about having a clean heart, and right spirit before God. We are not to follow men, we are to be disciples of Jesus Christ!!

I want to be identifies as a true saint of God. A blood bought, redeemed child of God. I don't want to look and act like a child of hell

Amen!! In fact a former pastor of mine refused to have the word "apostolic ," in his church's name for two reasons. The word has become so watered down that it can mean just about anything, and at the same time people have turned the word into a point of pride, an idol in a way.

Being called a follower of God is what matters, no matter what word humans call it. Being apostolic should mean being a follower of God, but it doesn't always.

If you want to know what kind of person you're dealing with, inspect their fruit...don't depend on a church name.

Setting yourself up as a judge and telling people they are going to hell because they do not follow man made standards is your way of caring?

You make the standards to be more effect than the blood of Christ.

They are not man made standards that isthe lie that is going to send folks to hell. The are God's standards.

I care and want folks to see the truth so they won't be lost.

I have not set myself up as judge but anyone can see when people are rejecting the truth. If I didn't love peopleI would say nothing and let them be lost. Then I would be lost for not compellikng folks to come to God and teaching the the truth, the FULL truth of God's Word.
