Re: A Word From God
I believe that if a true prophet came to AFF, we'd not receive him/her well. We'd think they were a bit crazy. The conservatives would think they were too liberal (as the Pharisees did Jesus) and the liberals would think that they were too conservative (as the Sadducees did to Jesus). I think the prophet would be loving, boil it all down to the Christian basics, rebuke our traditions of man, our pride, our holding on to hurt feelings (bitterness), and our carnality. Yes, we can be a carnal bunch, let's admit it. However, a prophet would also make the way clear. We'd know what we should do. And it would be very very practical. Something we'd all essentially already know that we should do. What if Trying2DoRight was sent to stir things up and make us think? Yes, God used Balaam, God can use any wayward prophet. Also... we need to be wise... sometimes the Spirit is hard to interpret if we aren't really seasoned in the prophetic. What if Trying2DoRight is indeed "trying" and simply not interpreting the message properly or in a manner that does it justice?
I don't know... maybe I'm too soft. Maybe I'm just wanting to stop and think of the implications of what Trying2DoRight's message and purpose. Even a wayward prophet or a misguided and struggling prophet can bring us to introspection.
