Simply put, there's no such thing as a "woman preacher" in the Bible & I could sit here all day & night exegetically refuting each "point," but it would be a total waste of time to do so (&, the passages I post are entirely ignored). We're sticking with the Biblical teachings on this (& every other) doctrine - which could not possibly be clearer. Yes, we would walk out on a supposed "woman-preacher" in the church (as would most in our immediate fellowship) - it is a stubborn denial of the biblical texts (par for the course on AFF).

BTW - Ummm, Corinth was a gentile congregation (not "Jewish") & Timothy was in Ephesus (a gentile city) . No wonder y'all believe in "women preachers!" Later - much later !

You have IGNORED my question earlier, conveniently.

How can women prophesy in church according to 1 Cor. 11, and also be SILENT? I've never heard a silent prophesy...

Wadr, there is no Scrip telling women to be silent in church, and about 2 minutes in your Bible engine's lexicon will show that to you. It seems to me that Ruth must be considered a Pastor, if she was not in fact. I also do not think it is preferred that women be pastoring, but if the societal male breakdown is in effect, as in Ruth's time and ours, Truth is where you find it? And maybe i mean Deborah, or Dinah. Someone pls correct me if any of those poor translations to silent in...Timothy, maybe? end up actually saying 'silent' in the original--I'm pretty sure they all come from the same root, and reduce to "don't chatter."

Ahh.. but you have to be sure to use the lexicon RDP uses, and his sources as well. Anything or anyone else... just mud puddles in his estimation. The debate always hinges on his sources, his research, his contexts, his Greek/Hebrew understanding.... lol And since he is always "wasting his time here"... you can never get a straight answer out of him, just lots of emoticons ... so good luck with that "chatter" business...

Amen, sister!
Hmm, i was not aware that different lexicons could lead to a different Strong's root. It has recently been said Out of the mouths of 2 or 3, of which RDP is only one--as am i. So, being as how we present conflicting interpretations, i guess? We just need a witness here.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Might share this with you real fast....In the Bible study (powerpoint) I am leaving as a hertiage to our Brazilian church it starts off like this:

I would like to dedicate this Bible study to my granddaughter, Julia Taylor Alvear. Many of these posting are not mine but copied from many sources. When she was 5 years old she came to me and said, Grandmother. God has called me! I said, sweetheart, what did He call you to do? She looked at me and said, He has called me to be a prophetess! Like many years ago He too called me. The calling of a woman is often misunderstood however God’s penetrating call has been on my life and as a result of it, thousands have come to know Him who called. It is my wish that she follow my footsteps.

Secondly I would like to dedicate this bible study to a host of Brazilian ladies that have followed the footsteps of Deborah and Hulda of long ago...ladies that have commanded armies of souls, worked in dire poverty in many dangerous villages and far away places making Jesus known. Ladies that some have laughed at, been scorned by other churches however through it all they have been faithful even to the point of martyrdoom! Ladies like the ladies of Acts that have gone everywhere preaching the gospel. Acts 17:11.12 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Sis. Alvear, I'm so glad that you obeyed the call of the Lord all those years ago. So many souls for the Kingdom of God! I too, have had women preachers in my family and in my life. Great women of faith not ashamed or afraid to be used of God. The Lord is looking for a willing vessel whoever they are! I greatly appreciate your dedication and hard work for the Kingdom and your sweet spirit speaks volumes Only time will reveal ALL the great work that's been done by the hands of faithful men and women!!!

Can a woman preach?

Old country preacher once said, "I saw a dog walk on his hind legs, but it didn't look natural".

- Exactly - It flies in the face of God's created order, which was Paul's source of appeal in I Tim. 2 & also I Cor. 14. It is a serious transgression of God's Word.

But, trust me, you'll have better luck baptizing Lucifer than you will getting these folks to believe what the Bible actually says around here !

Alrighty - Been fun as usual! God Bless.
