Do you eat and live healthy?

I guess I'll try to answer one of the questions ...
Several years ago, our family began a conscious effort to strip the shelves of our pantry of chemically-laced foods, as much as possible. This is an ongoing process. Trying to rid our pantry of any foods containing high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) was a huge challenge, and still is. It is hard sometimes to find ingredients for recipes and comfort foods that we have always eaten without having to use products containing HFCS.
Next, we began to use the least amount of processed wheat and sugar. We buy our wheat flour that is grown organically from a local wheat farm. We use turbinado sugar as much as possible in recipes that we can substitute it in. Sodas are banned from our house (although our teenage kids have occasionally drank one or two - but then report massive headaches from it!)
So... as a family we have seen the overall benefit of making changes away from the chemicals, additives, and genetically modified foods, although I know we have a lot more work to do.
I would like to be able to buy unhomogenized milk and cream but nothing close by for us to do that.

I don't really want to have a cow, because that is so much work, and care for just one cow, but who knows, maybe one day in the future we will.
We also hunt, and eat venison year round. I buy organic meat from a local supplier who gets it fresh straight from the farm. Check out
http://www.zayonfoods.com They supply organically fresh/never frozen meat to all 48 states. You can see if they are in your area. Awesome, awesome product they offer!
Exercise is also something we try to get more of, but it can be difficult as both my husband's job, and mine are sedentary. We make it a priority to get out and move as much as possible every day.
We also have a garden, and buy our produce locally too (such as fruit) that we aren't growing in our garden.
This is what our family has done so far, and we certainly need to continue.
I look forward to hearing what other people have done with lifestyle changes for the better, and hope we can all encourage each other!
