The Spirit has already fallen. Perhaps what she might do is pray for anyone there and encourage them to worship God so THEY can be the ones speaking in tongues. The spirit of the prophets is subject to the prophet.

Paul said he would rather speak in 5 words in a language everyone understood than a 1000 in a tongue they did not so they would receive edifying. She is being invited to sing, not display tongues for everyone to hear. She is not being asked to renounce tongues or the Spirit or Jesus or any such thing

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I'm sure TF Tenney was asked directly or "indirectly" not to delve to deep into his beliefs at some of the venues he's attended .... and no one can even dare to call him a SELL OUT.

Speaking in tongues should not be a public thing unless it is for interpretation anyway. You should speak quietly to yourself.
