What you're advocating here is that we use secular opinion as some kind of doctrine. Sorry, but "please look like a secular business professional" is not doctrine.

David, it's real simple...we are talking common sense, part of being a man. Men get of of bed in the morning and go to work, Men keep themselves up, they take baths, shave, get a haircut; etc.
We do not need the pews full of women with hot pink hair and men out front smoking. Then when you try to crack down you run into the the "IF'N HE'S FER IT, I'M AGIN IT, SHOW ME WHERE IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE" debate that splits the church 50/50....TRAP!
It's called "Get a Clue."

Are you saying that we shouldn't or should make sure our teachings are found in the scripture?
Please clarify.

We went from men's facial hair to women with hot pink hair and men smoking. Wow! Slippery slope, indeed!
I noticed you edited this post and removed your argument was that gay men have facial hair.

I agree that many are falsely accused. I apologize for how the post was written. I should have included the word "allegation," instead of making it so cut and dry. She claims it's his, and from what I've read, he hasn't denied it. Easiest way to put the rumor to rest is a paternity test.
He allegedly posted a response to the allegation years ago (I say allegedly because I've read that it was his response but don't know personally that it was): "This is Bishop Noel Jones. Please focus with me on the positive efforts we expend daily towards improving people’s lives, including the provision of food & clothing to tens of thousands of people, in sharing the Gospel and in doing God’s work around the world. Rumors and innuendo, to the extent they attract attention, may further assist us in exposing more people, causing them to join Gideon’s Army and one another in making the world a better place."
It's missing a denial and is intent on getting people to "focus" about the good things he's doing. JMO, but typically when a politician or someone says or writes something like this, it's to get the attention off the accusation and remind people how good they are. "I do good things! Focus on those things!"

Re: Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
There is something to be said about doctrine having a basis in the Bible. Personally, I focus on issues that that are repeated frequently in the New Testament. To borrow a phrase, I major on the majors and minor on the minors.
Since the NT says nothing about facial hair, I deem it to be a matter of little importance.
Those Azuza Street Pentecostals wore beards. Does that imply that the "old paths" accepted facial hair at face value ?

Take a stand? On what: The Bible, or someone's personal beliefs?
Your post seems to admit that the prohibition against beards isn't a Biblical one, so where does it stop? There are preachers against watches, rings, colored shirts, short-sleeve shirts, tie tacks, etc.
None of these can be supported in scripture, yet some Pastors "take a stand" on it.

Easy, easy, come on I'm asking you to "clarify" what you were saying about the Bible. You know, the book we use chapter and verse to teach what we believe as Apostolic One God Jesus Name Filled With the Holy Ghost Tongue Talkers.
Take a stand and move on? Stand on what? Stand on Bible, book, chapter, and verse? Or stand on nothing, but emotion or tradition based on wind?
Please explain what you are trying to say about your comment concerning the Bible.
