I am not crazy enough to mock this passage.
I believe in the supernatural things of God.

I dare say, most futurist would think you done went and bumped yo head, if you really think there is a literal sword coming out of His mouth. Most at least have learned to apply at least a minimal about of Biblical language and know what the sword and even fire represent.

Lose. I guess you feel Paul lied when he said the sword is the word.

Re: Some standing here
Nope, the word is applied to those that do not want to face the sword, Mike.

um, which sword? the one not coming out of Christ's mouth? You lost me.
And you mischaracterize preterist understanding of these verses, saying "fake," and just invite invalidation upon yourself.
Now does Christ literally ride up spewing a sword and dripping blood on a white horse in your theology, or not

Absolutely Shazeep! He is coming to rule this world with a rod of Iron, not a speech.
You have been demoting Jesus to a politician, along with the other preterists.
My Lord is gonna smash some skulls when He returns!

Re: Some standing here
Sean, IYO, what is the purpose behind Jesus using the word "assuredly" in verse 28, directly after verse 27 of Matt. 16?
27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. 28 “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
