19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Now, if you just metaphorize what Jesus said here like this.....
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall LITERALIZE these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall LITERALIZE from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.....
You will do just fine my friend, then have a blast metaphorizing the entire book!

Have fun, Loren.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
The literalist reads and believes this....
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb(Jesus).
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Piece of cake, few sign/symbols needed here.
Now the metaphorist(preterist) says.....
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the CHURCH, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the CHURCH were for the healing of the nations.
A clear change of the meaning here.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
When you were a young Christian, you believed it is a tree.
But when you "matured", you stopped believing it is a tree.
You did not really mature, but your brain became an imagination station.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
Simply looks like a vision of the resurrected Jesus to me.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Nothing to have an imagination attack about!

I think the Lord can appear in different forms as needed also.(He, as God, can do that)

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
He can even be invisible to the mortal eye, or appear as a cloven tongue of fire.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
Only an imbecile would deny that Jesus, as God, can appear in various forms as He wishes.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
Easy, it has a lamb(slain animal) as a "sign" of Jesus....
same book...
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
